Sunday Ride in The Park

Couldn't make it to Topsail for the Haunted Hundred this weekend? Join me for the Thrilling Sexy Thirty-Sixer. We'll begin this 36-mile ride at La Cocina on T.W. Alexander. We'll meet in the parking lot of La Cocina and roll out at 10:32 a.m. The route is one of familiar roads through Research Triangle Park and beyond. Sunday traffic should be modest.

The forecast two days out is a bit chilly: partly sunny and temperatures in the low 60s.

You should also be able to print a cue sheet from here and/or download the route to a file which could subsequently be imported into a spreadsheet. I (Chris) will not be providing any cue sheets. Please let me know if there are problems with the link.

There is one planned rest stop at the American Tobacco Trail park at New Hope Church Road, about 23.4 miles into the ride. Please plan accordingly. Elevation: The route includes no huge climbs, just a handful of hills where you may or may not find yourself wanting to get up outta the saddle.

Bring whatever snacks and water you need, and definitely bring spare tube and other necessary maintenance. We REQUIRE you wear a helmet. Other gear such as gloves, glasses, etc... are up to you.

I expect to ride at 16 mph or so. Please try to ride in groups of at least three for safety and fun.
