Major Taylor International Cycling Convention

Marshall Walter “Major” Taylor is widely regarded as the greatest sprinter to have ever lived. He was also the first African-American World Champion Cyclist, earning the title in 1899. Major Taylor’s legacy is the reason why Major Taylor Cycling clubs exist all over the world. In July 2021, the Major Taylor International Cycling Alliance, a 501(c)(3), was formed to bring the Major Taylor Cycling Club under a unified brand. We provide operational and programmatic guidance, support, and value to the Major Taylor Clubs.
