One Love Fun Volunteer/Social Events

This Valentine’s season, let’s create something beautiful together.

Many seniors in nursing homes won’t receive a single Valentine this year. Imagine being the reason someone smiles, feels remembered, and knows they matter. That’s the magic we get to create. 💫

We’ll gather at the park for an afternoon of connection, creativity, and community — making heartfelt Valentine’s cards that will be hand-delivered to local seniors later that week. No crafting skills required — just bring your kindness, your curiosity, and maybe a friend who loves to do good.

Once our table is covered in beautiful cards, we’ll shift into enjoyment mode — lounging on picnic blankets, sharing snacks, laughing, and catching up. For those who want to keep the day going, we’ll head out for optional kayaking (rentals available) to soak in the sunshine and wrap the afternoon with a little adventure.

✨ What to expect:
• All the supplies you’ll need (paper, markers, stickers, and more)
• Music, snacks, and an uplifting atmosphere
• The joy of meeting like-minded neighbors who care about making an impact

• Your warm heart and a willingness to brighten a stranger’s day
• A picnic blanket or chair if you’d like to relax afterward

• Any extra crafting supplies you’d like to share (optional)

❤️ One Love Foundation is organizing a special Pawventures day at the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter.

Fresh air, movement, and human attention make a huge difference for them, and this outing gives each pup a chance to stretch, explore, and feel seen. 🐾
.
☀️ To keep things simple and flexible, we’ll have two arrival options for the day (Group A and Group B). You’re welcome to join either group until the slots are filled up. We want to ensure a smooth day with a large group. ❤️

Group A: Arrival at 10:30am
Group B: Arrival at 12:30pm

Both options lead into the same Pawventures experience — time with the dogs, park walks, and meaningful one-on-one attention 🐶☺️

After arriving at the shelter, we’ll be taking the dogs out in groups of two and we will head out with our pups to a nearby park. Fresh air, movement, and human attention make a huge difference for shelter dogs. These outings help reduce stress, improve behavior, and allow their true personalities to shine — which can meaningfully increase their chances of adoption ❤️🐶.

At the park we will go for a walk, have playtime with our pups, and spend quality one-on-one attention. Along the way, we’ll capture pup spotlights 📸 — photos and short videos that highlight each dog’s personality, quirks, and charm so they can be shared with the world.

🐾 Important Safety Notes

To keep this a fun, calm, and safe experience for everyone — especially the dogs — we’ll be following a couple simple guidelines:
.
• Dogs must stay spaced apart during the walk (no nose-to-nose meetups).
• We’ll be enjoying the park around the dog park, but not going inside the fenced dog park area.
.
The shelter pups are total sweethearts but still working on their social skills 🥹
A little space and skipping the dog park helps keep tails wagging, stress low, and vibes good for everyone 🐶💛

Whether you’ve joined a One Love event before or it’s your first time, everyone is welcome to join in and make a real impact. 💫

If you’d like to add a little extra kindness, you’re welcome to bring a small gift 🎁 for the pups — treats, toys, a bandana or anything simple they can enjoy. Totally optional, but always appreciated. Feel free to bring fun accessories, bandanas, or your camera for those unforgettable moments.

💛 We will meet at the entrance where the shelter staff will sign us up and hand over our pup for the day. We will be put into pairs for our walk with the doggos.
