🚗💛 Care Kit Distribution to the Homeless

📦 Care Kit Distribution – Sunday 💛

We’ve got 358 care kits for to distribute for the homeless ready to go from the past event that we did. We’re recruiting a small crew to help distribute them with kindness and ease. We’ll split into 2 teams, one team heading north and the other team heading south along pre-planned routes. We will then come back to our meeting point again for a lunch/debrief and to share our experience that day.

Location: Pura Vida Aventura Mall) (meeting point)
Date: Sunday, Aug 17
Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM (regroup window 12:30 PM)
Lunch/debrief (optional after): Pura Vida at Aventura Mall at 12:30 PM

Team A: Fort Lauderdale (Main Library/Central Terminal area)

Team B: Miami (Government Center perimeter)

Plan at a glance
• 9:45 AM – Organizer arrives to stage kits + water
• 10:00 AM – Quick safety brief + route assignments
• 10:10 AM–12:15 PM – Distribute at your zone (easy pace; water breaks welcome)
• 12:30–1:30 PM – Regroup window back at Aventura for count + debrief
• Early afternoon / next morning – Shelter drop-offs for remaining kits

Roles
• Lead – light navigation, safety/time check-ins
• Connector – friendly first approach; offer kit + water; quick “anything else help?”
• Supply – carry kits/water, hand-off, track counts, share resource cards

What to bring

• 2 packs of water (24 count). They afe currently on BOGO sale at Publix (Buy 1 get 1 free)
• Comfy shoes, a small tote or lightweight backpack, sunscreen/hat.

We’ll provide kits, water, gloves, sanitizer, and resource cards.
