🐶❤️ One Love Foundation-Pawventures Edition: Social Walks for Shelter Dogs

❤️ One Love Foundation is organizing a special Pawventures day at the Miami-Dade Animal Shelter - Easter edition.🐣

It will be fun-filled morning where we will take shelter dogs on a scenic marina trail walk, enjoy playtime, and participate in a special Easter egg hunt for the pups!

This is more than a walk — it’s a chance to help shelter dogs stretch, explore, and feel seen, while giving them mental enrichment with hidden treat-filled eggs along the trail. Every wag, sniff, and discovery helps these pups reduce stress, show off their personalities, and get one step closer to finding a forever home ❤️🐶.

💛 Optional: bring a small gift for the pups — treats, toys, or a bandana. Totally optional but always appreciated..

🕙 Arrival: 10:00am

After arriving at the shelter, we’ll pair up with the pups and head to a nearby park along the marina trail. During the walk:

• Dogs will enjoy a fun Easter egg hunt — treats in every egg!

• Volunteers will capture pup spotlights 📸 — short videos and photos highlighting each dog’s personality, quirks, and charm.

These outings reduce stress, improve behavior, and allow the pups’ true personalities to shine — all while creating incredible, shareable moments for adoption promotion. This day is part of our monthly pawventure series

🐾 Important Safety Notes

To keep this a fun, calm, and safe experience for everyone we’ll be following a couple simple guidelines:

• Dogs must stay spaced apart during the walk (no nose-to-nose meetups).
• Stay attentive to your pup throughout the walk to ensure they stay safe and happy.

The shelter pups are total sweethearts but still working on their social skills 🥹
A little space and skipping the dog park helps keep tails wagging, stress low, and vibes good for everyone 🐶💛

Whether you’ve joined a One Love event before or it’s your first time, everyone is welcome to join in and make a real impact. 💫

If you’d like to add a little extra kindness, you’re welcome to bring a small gift 🎁 for the pups — treats, toys, a bandana or anything simple they can enjoy. Easter bunny ears for human and doggos highly encouraged 😊. Totally optional, but always appreciated. Feel free to bring fun accessories, bandanas, or your camera for those unforgettable moments.

💛 We will meet at the entrance where the shelter staff will sign us up and hand over our pup for the day. We will be going out in pairs for our walk with the doggos.

During pickup, we’ll be transporting the pups by car to a nearby park (just a short drive away). Each pair will need access to one vehicle.

Important Note:

📅 Final RSVP deadline: April 21.

Pawventure days do fill up quickly. We will submit our confirmed headcount to the shelter that day and sign ups will close after that. If you didn’t get a chance to rsvp, you can join us at the park to play with the pups and take spotlight pictures!

After the walks, you’re welcome to stay and help capture a few photos or short videos of the pups, or simply enjoy some time at the park with your shelter pup and fellow volunteers knowing you made a difference. Every spotlight, every share, and every small gesture helps these dogs get one step closer to finding a home 🏡 .

🎥 Short videos are incredibly powerful and highly encouraged 🌟. If you can, take 15–30 seconds to share what you experienced with your pup — are they gentle? playful? a total cuddle bug?

This event supports One Love Foundation's animal pillar, helping shelter dogs get out for a walk and find a forever home, saving not just the doggo but his human too!
