❄️ Winter Solstice Hike: Lauriault Trail & Mackenzie King Estate

Celebrate the first official day of winter with a crisp morning hike through one of Gatineau Park's most scenic loops!
The Lauriault Trail offers a beautiful mix of forest paths, a look at the icy Bridal Veil Falls, and a stunning lookout point over the Ottawa River Valley. We will be starting from the P6 parking lot.

When: Sunday, December 21st @ 11:00 AM
Where: Gatineau Park, Parking Lot P6 (Mackenzie King Estate)
Distance: ~4.5 km loop
Difficulty: Easy/Moderate (some rolling hills)
Duration: Approx. 1.5 – 2 hours depending on pace

🥾 What to Bring
Traction: Depending on conditions, ice cleats (Microspikes) are highly recommended as the trail can get icy.
Layers: Dress for the weather! It’s better to have layers you can remove as you warm up.
Water/Snack: Stay hydrated even in the cold.
Park Pass: Remember that P6 is a paid lot during the winter season (or require a season pass)
