Join us for a peaceful Summer Meditation Retreat in Wellington!
Take a day to slow down, breathe, and reconnect. We’ll begin with gentle introductions, followed by guided and silent meditations, alternating between sitting and walking practices. Enjoy a calm, supportive environment with space for quiet reflection and optional conversation over a shared potluck lunch. Morning tea is provided, and the venue includes a full kitchen.

The format of the retreat is as follows - we will begin with introductions, after which you won’t need to speak again (unless you want to) until the closing round. The first two meditations will be guided, but thereafter they will be silent, with a bell to prompt you to alternate between sitting and walking meditations and for tea breaks. At lunchtime we will suggest a space for those who would like to chat quietly with others. If you want to ask the retreat leaders for assistance then they are available for private conversations at any time but especially during the breaks.

This format for the day is designed to cater both to those who don’t want to talk, and to those who would find not talking unpleasant. We seek to foster an environment of peace and calm.

We'll provide morning tea and our lunch will be a potluck. The venue has a full kitchen including a fridge, electric hobs and oven, and a microwave.
