Title:
Kubernetes and Containers for the .NET Developer
Abstract:
As developers, we face an always-changing landscape. One of the more recent changes has been the push into containers and Kubernetes. We are going to discuss what a container is and why you would want to use one. We will then discuss if you should be using Windows or Linux containers. Finally, we will discuss Kubernetes and how to get started learning to use it.
Bio:
Jamie is a Cloud-Native Software Engineer working at SUSE on the Rancher for Windows team, and I work remotely from East Tennessee. I have been programming professionally since 2007 after discovering software development in graduate school. My Geology degree has given me an appreciation for large systems and processes, which has created a keen interest in Solutions Architecture, DevOps, and the Cloud.
