Do everyday situations - whether it’s work, social events, or relationships - make you feel afraid or on edge? Do you always ruminate about “what if” scenarios to the point where it paralyzes you? Are you feeling overwhelmed by life under COVID-19? If so, this group is for you.

You’ll learn how to stop overthinking and obsessing over worst case scenarios, improve decision making, and incorporate practices that will help you feel more present in your daily life. The group will also help prepare you with skills to effectively manage the physical symptoms anxiety elicits, such as irritability, chest pain, and shortness of breath. In doing so, the group will enable you to reassert your control and restore calm in your life.

Maya Kaye is a Licensed Master Social Worker, who combines a variety of psychodynamic and mind-body modalities and techniques to help individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and difficulties adjusting to life stressors. Her groups are built on the belief that compassion and respect are the basis of positive therapy experiences. She is well versed in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindufulness, and Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT).
