Onward Arts: Neurodivergent Art Classes
If you are a neurodivergent adult who loves art, these FREE classes may be for you! We welcome all levels of art-making experience to help create this community through the arts!
Onward Arts is an educational program designed for neurodivergent adults to create their own art and develop their techniques. Neurodivergence is a descriptive term for the natural human variation in neurological traits and cognitive functions that are different from what is considered “typical.” It can include (but is not limited to) mental conditions such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, epilepsy, dyslexia, sensory processing, and many others. These FREE, hands-on art classes give neurodivergent adults a way to express themselves creatively.
Onward Arts IS:
- A participatory, discussion-filled, making-based class
- Presented by a professional artist & teacher
- A chance to learn about art and how to properly make it
- FUN!
Onward Arts is NOT:
- A lecture class
- An all-encompassing, deep dive into any one topic
- A graded or scored program
- A certificate or degree program
We do ask that if you sign up to attend, you try to come at least 80% of the time, so we can continue to provide these classes and eventually offer more art classes.

Onward Arts: Neurodivergent Art Classes Sign-Up (Google Form)What does neurodivergent mean? Neurodivergent is a term for people whose brains work a little differently—think autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other ways of experiencing and processing the world.
Why Onward Arts? Let's be real: finding spaces where you can relax and be yourself isn't always easy, especially if you're neurodivergent. Too often, social spaces feel overwhelming or isolating. Onward Arts is different. It's a place where you can express yourself through art, meet people who just get it, and build genuine friendships—all without pressure or judgment.
Every quarter we dive into new art forms with instructors who celebrate neurodiversity and meet you where you are. Never picked up a paintbrush? No problem. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to explore. We'll provide the rest—materials, guidance, and a space where you truly belong.
We do ask that if you sign up to attend, you try to come at least 80% of the time, so we can continue to provide these classes and eventually offer more art classes.
