Onyx: New Events Added to the Calendar

Greetings Onyx,
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I've added some new events to the calendar, please check them out:

  • Kat's Birthday Dinner at Soft notes: Kat is planning to celebrate her upcoming Birthday with a series of events next week. This Thursday, Kat will kick off celebrating her birthday at Soft Notes in Oakland CA. I heard that the drinks are divine and the crab is delicious. If you're interested in going, please RSVP as soon as possible so Kat can get a headcount.
  • Kat's Dave and Buster's Event in Milpitas: On Saturday (after celebrating Friday at the First Fridays Event already posted), Kat will continue the celebration at Dave and Buster's
  • Kat's Birthday Brunch at the Lake Merritt Hotel: The last event of the series. Enjoy a relaxing brunch with beautiful views.
  • Onyx TAN BPN Holiday Dinner in Mountain View: Onyx, The African Network (TAN) and the Black Professionals' Network (BPN) are teaming up for this year's holiday party. The event will be catered with delicious African food so no need to worry about preparing food. The price for Onyx members is 15 dollars.


Also, the Silicon Valley NAACP is seeking counselors for its annual Weekend Leadership Academy in January 2009. If you are interested in being a counselor, the application has been posted to the files section of this site (here). The application deadline is Dec. 8.
