About us
Oot and Aboot Outdoors is a community-led, volunteer-run not-for-profit charity dedicated to creating safe, joyful and inclusive outdoor experiences for LGBTQIA+ adults and our allies. We believe that nature is a powerful connector — it heals, restores, and creates space for people to breathe, belong, and be themselves.
Through group hikes, camping trips, picnics, workshops, skill-building activities and shared meals, we make it easy for people to connect, unwind, learn new things and feel supported. Our experiences are fully guided, accessible, and built around safety, inclusion, and community care.
Oot and Aboot Outdoors is more than an event — it’s a space where people form friendships, discover confidence in nature, support local regional communities, and build a sense of belonging that lasts long after the campfire goes out.
