What we’re about

The Open Data Leaders Meetup features federal, state, and local government leaders presenting on recent open data initiatives. Each event will bring in experts from a single agency to discuss a recent project and share the challenges and solutions they have discovered through their efforts. The goal of these events is to foster an open conversation between data providers, civic technologists, businesses, and government agencies. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about new open data projects, share feedback with government agencies, and offer design and outreach tips to improve relations between government agencies and the organizations that use their data. By bringing the open data community together, Open Data Leaders hopes to harmonize public and private sector efforts around open data to promote innovation, improve government services, and foster transparency.
