Open Mind Seattle Launch Event

Do you have something a topic or idea that you've been contemplating and want to share your explorations with an audience? Are you interested in hearing the earnest reflections of people in your community and engage in dialogue with them? Please come to our launch event.

The format is straight forward. Six to eight essayists will read their pieces, each limited to 10 minutes. The audience will be invited to write down questions or comments for the pieces that they find interesting. At the end of the event, we'll bring the writers of the essays that got the most engagement back up for an additional chat mediated by the host. It should be fun (or possibly catastrophic).

Either share with us a summary of what your essay, of if you're not sure what you want to write about, shoot us an email and I'd be happy to work with you on evaluating/brainstorming topics.
