Hack Omaha III: With a Vengeance

Join us for the third annual Hack Omaha, a three-day hackathon where data geeks, developers, designers, creatives, and open data enthusiasts come together to volunteer for a new kind of public service -- developing public data into useful tools for the citizens of Omaha.

Over the course of the weekend, we'll discuss ideas that have been presented on our Hack Omaha MindMixer (http://hackomaha.mindmixer.com/identifying-hack-omaha-projects) page (keep posting ideas for projects!) and we'll get together in hack teams to tackle some of Omaha's most pressing data issues. We'll bring the government data and tons of food. You bring your fine self and your ideas about how to make Omaha a better place.

On Sunday evening, hack teams will compete for prizes and eternal glory in front of our panel of judges. Prizes and judges to be announced soon!

Not into coding? We'd still love for you to attend! The open data movement needs all kinds of advocates. Submit your ideas on MindMixer and your idea might be picked up by a hack team, and join us Sunday evening to learn about what our brilliant hack teams come up with over the weekend.
