🌿 Golden Leaves & Fireside Fun by Algonquin — Trails, Tower Views & S’mores

This event is for women in their late 20s to 40s who enjoy adventure, meaningful company, and a mix of hiking, nature, and cozy gathering by the fire. It’s a full-day outing to relax, explore, and share warm moments together.

🌲 The Tree Museum
This is not a “museum” in the traditional sense — it’s a forest walk where nature meets art. Along winding trails you’ll come across hidden sculptures - little surprises tucked between the trees. Some are older and weathered, which makes it feel like stumbling onto forgotten treasures in the woods. It’s part hike, part curiosity walk — the kind of place that sparks wonder.
🍁 Dorset Lookout Tower
One of Ontario’s most iconic fall views. The tower rises 30 metres above Lake of Bays, giving a sweeping panorama of fiery fall colors stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s a top Instagram spot every autumn — and in person, even more breathtaking. You’ll also find short trails around the lookout for more perspectives (lots of photo stops!).
🔥 Fireside Gathering
After our explorations, we’ll head to a secret outdoor spot for a real fireside time. We’ll roast hot dogs, toast marshmallows for gooey s’mores, and sip hot chocolate together. It’s the perfect cozy finish to a day of movement and discovery.

### 🗓️ Schedule

• 9:45 am – Leave Toronto (carpooling available). Quick Tim Hortons stop en route.
• 12:10 pm – Arrive at The Tree Museum for our 1-1.5-hour walk.
• 1:45 pm – Depart for Dorset.
• 2:45 pm – Dorset Lookout Tower: enjoy the views & trails.
• 4:00 pm – Fireside gathering with s’mores, hot dogs, and hot chocolate.
• 6:00 pm – Drive back to Toronto.

### 🚗 Transportation

Carpooling is arranged to make the trip easy and affordable. Gas cost is shared between passengers.

• Current availability: 3 spots ($25 per person) leaving from St. Clair Station.
• More spots will open once additional drivers register.
• Once you sign up, we’ll confirm your seat or coordinate if you’re driving and willing to take others.

💰 Costs

• Community Support Contribution: $20 per person — helps cover planning and hosting so we can keep creating great days like this.
• Tower Ticket : $5 per per person
• Food at fireside: $20 per person — includes hot dogs, s’mores, and hot chocolate.
• Carpooling (optional): Extra, shared gas cost
