Join us for silent Zen style meditation in Magnolia!

Our Sunday meditation is casual and ecumenical. We invite meditation practitioners in any style. Whether you are a newcomer or you already practice Zen, mindfulness, centering prayer, or another form of silent meditation, you're welcomed to sit with us!

There is no need to bring anything. There are no complex rituals or robes. Just wear comfortable and loose clothes for sitting. If you happen to have a Zen rakusu or small kasa, you could wear it. There is no charge (although donations are accepted).

If you're new to silent meditation or would like instruction in Zen, join us at 4:00pm for Newcomer Orientation. Or to sit with your established practice, join at 5:00pm for group practice. Newcomers are welcomed to stay for the 5:00pm practice.

Please arrive a few minutes early, and look for the welcome sign with the "Zen" doorbell. We meet inside the Magnolia Presbyterian Church. There is ample, free street parking around the building.

Notes. Attendees come from several sources and the Meetup attendee count does not reflect actual group size. We want everyone to be comfortable and welcomed, as reflected in our ethics statement (online).

We meet each week, not always listed on Meetup, and also offer online practice. For full details, please visit https://magnoliazen.org
