Open Source London // AI special

We're very excited to announce that our August meetup will be hosted at NatWest's Bishopsgate offices on Wednesday 2 August starting from 6pm! We hugely appreciate NatWest's hospitality.

The event will focus on AI and open source, and the opportunities and challenges of harnessing AI's business potential.

Declan O'Gorman will introduce the event and share some insights on NatWest's approach to open source and touch on the organisational opportunities they envisage with AI. Declan is NatWest's Head of Enterprise Engineering and also heads up the bank's Open Source Programme Office.

To follow will be some fascinating talks, with Ariadna Blanca Romero, Data Scientist at NatWest, walking us through the path of building the group's new MLOps platform that streamlines the entire machine learning lifecycle.

Gokberk Kocak, Developer at Scott Logic and an expert in problem solving with AI, will talk creating real world applications with GPT, including Scott Logic's own R&D project examples using Generative AI and Open Source components

There will also be a panel discussion, including Sherin Mathew, CEO of AI Tech UK and Prash Bhandari, Principal Lead for Data & AI at Microsoft, on the pros and cons of open source AI.

As always, there will be plenty of opportunity to network and free refreshments are available!
