This talk delves into the key considerations for rewriting open source software (oss), covering both technical and strategic aspects. Using Group Writer, a collaborative text editing tool adopted by schools in Lower Saxony, as a real-world example, we‘ll explore the decision-making process. The discussion will highlight essential questions to ensure a successful rewrite.
