These Mindful Movement classes are designed primarily for those over 50 years of age who are in good physical condition, but might have some limitations that the aging process brings to us.
We begin by finding our breath in pranayama, then move gently to get the joints and muscles warmed up. Next, we practice sequences of vigorous standing and balancing poses to get the heart rate up and muscles stretched; looking for mindfulness and calm through the expression of the poses. Class ends with peaceful, restorative postures to bring all aspects of our practice together.
