About us
Open Studio Sketching and Skill Shares is a space for artists of all levels to get together, work on their own projects, and learn from one another in a low-pressure environment. Whether you are working in a sketchbook, finishing a painting, or just want to get back into the habit of drawing, you are welcome here. The goal is to provide a consistent time and place to create alongside other people who enjoy the process of sketching.
We also dedicate part of each session to informal skill sharing. If you have a technique you have been working on or a specific challenge you are facing, this is a great place to troubleshoot with others. We keep things casual and collaborative, focusing on the act of drawing rather than perfect results. If you are looking for a friendly community to help keep your creative practice moving, we would love to have you join us.
