Open UX Design #15 - Come UX with us

Come, do your UX work with us. You'll be amazed at how productive you can be.

1. Turn up with some work you want to focus on
2. Tell us what you want to do
3. Get to work...
4. ... And after an hour, tell us how you got on. Feel free to share your progress too.

And that's it. Really. But it works. Because there is something magically productive about committing to work on one thing, in a shared space with your peers, for a short burst of time.

Especially if that work involves starting something complex or difficult. Things get moved forward, things get done. So come UX with us.

What should I bring?
Anything you want that's got something to do with UX, no matter how small:

• Work on a project
• Improve your portfolio
• Teach yourself something new
• Do your UX coursework ;)
• Write up that case study
• Prepare a user test
• … anything you like

Can I ask questions / for help?
Sure! It’s an open room. So if you want to ask a question ("Hey, what's a good thing to include in my UX portfolio?"), just ask and maybe someone can give you some ideas.

If you want a bit more hands-on support, and if someone wants to help you for a bit longer, you can always jump on a breakout call.

How come it says we work for an hour, but the invite says it lasts for 1.5 hours? 🤔
We'll work on our personal work for one hour, but there's a bit of extra time for hellos at the start, and for sharing how we got on / showing stuff at the end. And if things are looking interesting, we might keep talking.
