He works professionally as an Application Security Engineer and focuses on identifying and resolving security issues for web, mobile and desktop targets. He enjoys hacking and reverse engineering mobile apps professionally and in his free time. He is an active member of Irvine Underground, OC2600 and DC858.

Talk Description: Millions of mobile applications are accessible to Android users through the Google Play Store. Many applications collect data in unexpected ways invisible to most users. This talk will cover Android mobile application reverse engineering techniques, an overview of Android Security and permission models, and a take a deep dive into reverse engineering a real-world mobile application to identify risky data collection and privacy issues.
