OpenClaw Houston is a community for anyone building things with AI — whether you're setting up your first AI assistant or you're shipping agents in production.

OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent platform that turns models like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini into personal assistants that actually do things — manage your email, automate your business, write code, organize your life. It runs on your machine, connects to your tools, and works for you.

We meet monthly at local coffeehouses and breweries around the Houston metro area. No corporate conference rooms. No slide decks. Just real people, real laptops, and real builds.

🔧 Free OpenClaw installs — Bring your laptop and an active AI subscription (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any LLM supported by OpenClaw). We'll get you set up on the spot, walk you through everything, and make sure you leave with a working AI agent. Every single meetup.

🤝 Networking — Meet other builders, business owners, developers, and AI-curious people in the Houston area. The best ideas come from conversations over coffee.

🎤 Open floor — Want to show off what you've built? Got a question? Found a cool use case? The mic is yours. No slides required.

About the organizer

Josh Vaughan (AI Guy Josh) is an AI consultant based in the Houston metro area. He helps businesses and individuals use AI in practical, real-world ways — automations, AI agents, smarter workflows. He started OpenClaw Houston because the closest AI meetups were either in downtown Houston or didn't exist at all, and he wanted to build something local, accessible, and actually useful.
