For December’s Workshop and Speaker Series we are glad to welcome Katherine Townsend, Co-Founder of Open Data Collaboratives, for a session on Model Context Protocol: Making open data more usable with AI tools.
Katherine will walk us through the latest MCP applications for social impact. Released in November 2024, the Model Context Protocol breaks down barriers to data analysis and opens the door for people who understand challenges on the ground, even if they don’t have technical training. Current use cases include the World Bank, ICPSR, Google and ONE Foundation collaborations, and tools used for financial portfolio advice.
