Open edX in the Spotlight: The Future of Online Education

Details
Open edX has quickly become the de facto platform for academic organizations and groups looking to host their own MOOCs, blended or paid courses.
Open edX's superior pedagogy and technology is designed to engage students through an interactive, modular experience. In order to promote active participation, instructors are able to create engaging sequences which allow students to alternate between learning concepts and completing exercises.
In this second meetup, Beth Porter, Vice President of Product at edX, will come from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to talk about business opportunities around Open edX technology. The leading university adopting Open edX George Washington University, will explain its innovative, multi-platform strategy. McKinsey Academy's General Manager will open the conference with an insightful presentation. Additionally, the founder of PepperPD will announce a new national network for K-12 students.
This event will be live streamed through this website and open to remote questions via Twitter (http://twitter.com/openedxmeetup).
