Join us!

Embodiment classes and workshops. Give yourself the freedom to move your body, release inhibitions and be yourself just as you are in each moment. There are no steps to learn, instead we learn to listen to ourselves.

Whatever your age, ability, fitness or experience of dance, you are very welcome. All you need is willingness, curiosity and a desire to move.

- a chance to dance, shake loose and get sweaty. A guided 5Rhythms Wave.

1st Saturday of the Month 7.30–9.30pm(doors close at 8pm).
Cost: £16, discount available for early booking.

⫸What will happen?
【Open Attention】 We’ll begin with an arriving meditation which may include movement. We’ll have a check in. Depending on how many of us are there it will either be spoken or written (into the Zoom ‘chat’ so it’s visible to everyone on the call).
【Enter】 I’ll set the intention for the dance and offer suggestions to guide you into movement.
【Explore】 There will be time for you to just dance in your own space. I’ll play music and the invitation is for you to take this however you want into dance. Fast or slow, big or small, wild or calm, following your own energy. You might dance close to the camera, or off camera, or come and go. Perhaps you will feel the sense of being connected to the group while being in your own space.
【Settle】 We will come back together and maybe split into small groups to talk.

Through dance we learn to listen to ourselves, physically, emotionally, mindfully and soulfully. It is called a movement meditation as we bring our attention back to the body over and over again.
We explore moving towards freedom, whatever that might mean for us, it can be quite intimate and personal, or wild and expansive.

We're practicing flexibility of our whole selves, emotionally and soulfully as well as physically and mindfully. We start with a warm-up, and there's a clear beginning, middle and end, starting gently, building to wild energetic peaks and settling at the end.

Saturday Night Sweat is a guided 5Rhythms Wave, beginners and experienced movers welcome alike.

Cost is a sliding scale from £12 to £18

We dance the 5Rhythms, a simple yet profound movement map: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. Even if you are self-conscious, or wild, even if you think you're too old, too big, too small, too unfit, even if you think you can't dance, you are welcome. Everyone who wants to move is welcome. This is a practice that everyone can engage in, there are no steps to learn, instead, it’s about learning to listen to ourselves.

We'll be able to be back in the hall for the dance on 3rd July. In the meantime, we'll be online.
