The Red Hat team is looking forward to meeting with the Austin OpenStack.org Community! We'll briefly talk about Red Hat's history with OpenStack, and what to expect from us going forward as it relates to OpenStack integration with all of our platform, storage and cloud products.
The RDO community is your one-stop community site for all things related to using OpenStack on Red Hat based platforms, so we'll talk a bit about the difference between RDO and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform.
We'll cover a few installation points and how to do OpenStack the Red Hat way through a quick demo and then point you in the right direction to test drive of our products to get you going on your own.
From the Linux kernel and the KVM hypervisor to the top level OpenStack project components, Whether you want to run a proof of concept of OpenStack on CentOS, or you want to prepare a production cloud and you are evaluating partners for your deployment, who better to go to than the number one contributor to OpenStack?

Speaker:
Thomas Cameron is the chief architect for the western US at Red Hat. He has been in the information technology industry since 1993, and has held certifications as a Novell Certified NetWare Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Trainer. Thomas is currently a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), a Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS), a Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), a Red Hat Certified Virtualization Administrator (RHCVA), and and a Red Hat Certified Examiner (RHCX). Thomas sits on the systems management subject matter expert team at Red Hat.
