Talk 1: Kickstart Your OpenSearch Journey as a Reviewer and Contributor
Speaker: Sakshi Nasha, MTS III, Cohesity
In this session, we'll explore the world of OpenSearch — what it is, where it came from, and how you can become an active part of its growing community. Sakshi will walk us through the OpenSearch public repositories and how to contribute even as a beginner. She'll share her personal journey, resources that helped her, and tips that she wishes she had known earlier. Whether you're an experienced developer or just getting started, this session will inspire you to take that first step into open source.

Talk 2: NextGen OpenSearch with Generative AI
Speaker: Murali Krishna, Senior Principal Engineer, AWS Search Services
OpenSearch is evolving rapidly to support the GenAI ecosystem. Murali will walk us through OpenSearch's capabilities as a vector database, its support for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and how it integrates with LLMs for better search experiences. He'll also touch upon the latest MCP support and how OpenSearch became the vector store behind Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Base.
