Join us at Seattle GiveCamp!
Want to contribute your technical skills to local non-profits without a long-term commitment? Seattle GiveCamp is a weekend event when dev/design professionals and social media experts work with non-profits on tech projects. Last year, we had 200+ volunteers who worked on more than twenty projects that included mobile apps, WordPress responsive websites, donor management tools, and Salesforce customization. This is a great way to lend a helping hand, add to your professional network, and pick up new skills! To volunteer during Oct 14-16 weekend at Microsoft in Redmond, sign-up here:

Seattle GiveCamp differs from most other hackathons in that organizations request help with specific, well-defined needs. Requests are vetted in advance to make sure they are doable and that the organizations will have people on hand to answer questions about what's needed. If you want a hackathon for good where the project actually gets completed, and gets used, then this is for you. And yes, you can continue helping the organization if you want. ;-)
Note Seattle GiveCamp is in October -- this is advance notice, so folks can plan ahead, as the event covers three days.
Please sign up at the link above! That's the official registration. We can also RSVP to this Meetup event, just so we know who else from Open Seattle is participating.
