Details

Howdy, stackers!

Thanks to our friends at Bol.com we're throwing a meetup at the end of April (sorry for short notice) in Utrecht. Prepare for a night of learning, discussions and general awesomeness about Openstack & Ceph!

(Provisional) Agenda:

7:30 - Open

8:00 - Food!

8:30 - Kris Gillespie: Ceph@Bol.com, first impressions, user experience and roadmap

9:00 - Eric Kessels (Fairbanks): Openstack&Ceph User Stories

For more than 20 years, Eric Kessels has been active in the IT business in various roles. Key in all these roles was applying the IT technology in such a way that he translated the business requirements in clear software solutions and solid infrastructures. The last three years as CTO he has been involved in developing the OpenStack strategy and product portfolio for Fairbanks, becoming a major player in the market of open source cloud solutions.

9:30 - Giulio Fidente - On OpenStack, Ceph and TripleO (http://giuliofidente.com/2015/01/ceph-for-cinder-in-tripleo.html)

Giulio (https://www.linkedin.com/in/gfidente) is a software engineer at Red Hat and active contributor to TripleO project. He's gonna present the latest developments into integrating Ceph into TripleO, to give persistent, scalable storage to Openstack.

10:15 - Lighting talks

------------------

You can get your 5 (or 10) minutes of fame after the talks, just prepare a lighting talk (or don't prepare, we like improv!), but please refrain from blatant sales pitches.

To park, you just drive to the WTC and go into the visitors car park. Security know people are coming for the event. Then just walk in and it should be clear where we are.
