Please join us at 6pm on Thursday, December 18th, 2014 for our inaugural OpenStack NYC Enterprise Meet Up where we’ll discuss the most recent improvements in OpenStack, deploying a highly available OpenStack cloud, and “What Makes OpenStack Ready for the Enterprise?” Following the discussion we’ll have live music and drinks courtesy of Rackspace.

What Makes OpenStack Ready for the Enterprise?
This talk will cover some of the improvements introduced in recent OpenStack releases and why they move the gage toward making OpenStack Enterprise ready. Starts with the review of new OpenStack components and then details some recently published reference architectures on how to deploy a Highly Available OpenStack cloud. Also will include some highlights on how Rackspace, co-founders of OpenStack, consistently and quickly deploys OpenStack Private clouds.
Speaker Bio
Walter Bentley is a Private Cloud Solutions Architect at Rackspace. He helps design and build OpenStack private clouds for organizations of all sizes. Walter started this NYC-based meet up because he sees how disruptive OpenStack can be in Enterprise IT and believes large enterprise adoption of OpenStack will continue to increase. Prior to Rackspace, Walter served as a Senior Solution Architect for JetBlue Airways and as a Senior Production Support Engineer for >10 years across various industries including Online Marketing, Financial, Insurance, Aviation, Food & Beverage and Education. Ansible your Enterprise
This talk will cover what Ansible is doing to entice Enterprise organizations. The talk will start with an introduction to Ansible and cover some of the recent additions to Ansible. Also, cover some real life use cases by organizations. They may drop some secrets on future product features...who knows ;).

Nikki specializes in creating events and programs that incite collaboration amongst techies in New York CIty. She spent the last year in the UK where she trained people on Hybrid Cloud.
