Details
It's #maptime again. #Maptime is time for learning and sharing knowledge at the intersection of "Maps" and "The Internet". Beginners are welcome. Bring your computer so that you can work on your projects.
Maptime starts with short show and tell. Attendees demonstrate their current projects and share key lessons, or ask for assistance. Maptime proceeds with workshop time when attendees self-study, or assemble in ad-hoc groups for collaboration.
Maptime is friendly, diverse and inclusive. Join us.

Speaker and Outline
Jay Wall (https://twitter.com/Jay_Wall) is the creative director of Studio Jaywall (http://jaywall.com/), a social impact design team specializing in communications design for urbanism initiatives. Jay has always loved maps – as a kid, he would spend hours with his brother studying atlases and drawing maps of imaginary countries. He will speak about the design elements of mapmaking and show examples of how to present cartographic information in a clear and compelling way. After Jay’s short presentation, you’re invited to use him as a resource – bring a project you’re working on and discuss how to make it stronger visually.
