Happy Holidays from OpenTechSchool Berlin

Dearest OpenTechSchool Community,

We are writing to wish you all the best for the holidays and a happy new year!

This year has been quite a journey for all of us, full of experiments and new event-formats, like the Kids Hackathon earlier this year or our on-going continuous learning groups, Arduino workshops and creative coding jams. We now have over ten chapters on four continents – and more to come. All this because people such as yourselves stepped up and organized OpenTechSchool workshops and events. We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your attendance and on-going support, help and contribution before the holidays. Without it none of this would have happened. Thank you all very much!

It's been quite a year and we aren't thinking of slowing down. With the latest big leap forward, the successful first Batch Hackership full-time learning programme, we are working towards a fully-equiped tech community learning space in Berlin. During the day it will host the Hackership masterclass while evenings and weekends are reserved for free, awesome and open to all OpenTechSchool events. To make this happen, we are currently missing funds to kick start this next step of OpenTechSchool in Berlin.

Please consider donating to our crowd funding campaign!

If each group member takes part and gives as little as 16 Euro to our crowd funding campaign, we can make our community learning space in Berlin a reality. Let's continue to build the most awesome tech learning hacker community there is!

Thank you
and happy holidays!
Amélie, Ben & Rachel

P.S. If you happen to be back in town by then, how about joining us for "Movies and Popcorn!" on January 1st at Co.Up? Fun time will be had by all!
