At this week’s 1 Million Cups, Vincent Vu will join Dale Fickett and our Startup Community. The discussion will focus on Vincent’s passion, the Kinis business model, application of Artificial Intelligence, and overcoming entrepreneurs’ challenges.

Kinis has been founded on "science-driven design methodology and an advanced manufacturing process, which has resulted in a line of innovative and functional footwear. It helps people move naturally and promotes good foot health." Kinis is incorporating “Ai Deep Machine Learning Intelligent footwear” through a strategic partnership with both Virginia Commonwealth University Biomedical Engineering, and with George Mason University’s Computer Science Department.

Vincent Vu has over a decade of experience in design, manufacturing, and building businesses. His educational background includes a Master of Architecture and a Master of Business Administration; he also has his Six Sigma certification focused on Lean Manufacturing. As founder of Kinis, he has created a company from scratch and built “a vast network of professionals in both the functional footwear and AI machine learning spaces.” His primary expertise is developing a long-term vision, and building execution teams.

The Discussion. 1 Million Cups is a national entrepreneurship program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, which promotes peer learning and professional connections that assist entrepreneurs. Since 2014 and over 375 meetups, 1 Million Cups - Richmond has been pioneered by RVA Works. At each 1 Million Cups, business founders as guest speakers share about their ventures and discuss the challenges that they are facing during the development process. Participants can learn from the speakers’ experiences, discuss valuable insights and make connections within an audience of peer entrepreneurs.
