Meet Jonny Price, President of WeFunder
Jonny Price is the President of Wefunder, a platform that helps founders raise capital. Before joining Wefunder in 2018, Jonny founded the U.S. lending division at [Kiva.org](http://kiva.org/ "http://Kiva.org"). And before that, he started his career in strategy consulting at Oliver Wyman. Jonny has served on the Federal Reserve Board's Community Advisory Council, and has a Master's in History from the University of Cambridge. Originally from London, he now lives in Nashville with his wife Ali, and three children, Felicity, Carlyle and Margot.
WeFunder is a leading equity crowdfunding platform that enables everyday individuals—not just wealthy accredited investors—to invest small amounts of capital ($100+) in startups, small businesses, and community projects. Founded in 2012, it aims to democratize access to venture investing, helping founders raise funds from their customers and community rather than traditional VCs.
The Discussion. This series of hybrid events is perfect for budding entrepreneurs, experienced executive mentors cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, early-stage investors, and students exploring innovative product design.
At each session, business founders serve as guest speakers share about their career, their firm's business model, as well as the successes and challenges in the product development process. Participants learn from the speakers’ experiences, discuss valuable insights, and connect with other entrepreneurs, students, faculty, and investors.
