Kick-Off: DLT Austria will start with an overview of quantum computing, cryptography, and blockchain basics. After that, we will explore how quantum computing could affect blockchain technology by DI Gottfried Szing (Board Member of DLT Austria, Business Analyst, Software Architect) and Mag. Vinzenz Treytl (Member of DLT Austria,
Senior Researcher and Area Manager at ABC Research)

Deep Dive Talk: "Performance Monitoring and Optimization - from JVM
to Decentralized Systems" by Ardit Ymeri (OpenValue)
In this talk, we will explore the role of performance measurement and optimization in modern applications, with a focus on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and the tools that help improve runtime efficiency. We will delve into the JVM's built-in optimizations, including Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation, garbage collection, and advanced profiling techniques. Moving to distributed systems, we’ll discuss how performance can be monitored and optimized across multiple services, addressing challenges like network latency, load balancing,
and resource utilization.
Additionally, we will touch on performance monitoring on blockchain technologies, where challenges such as transaction throughput, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract execution introduce unique performance constraints. By applying effective monitoring and optimization techniques, we can ensure that both traditional
distributed systems and newer decentralized architectures remain scalable, efficient, and resilient.
