This workshop is ideal for school aged kids (with parents), teens and parents. Curious folks of all ages are more than welcome to join! We're a social enterprise that believes in empowering people to understand and influence technology. We think learning to code, and build things with electronics is a great way to do this. Our learning platform includes video tutorials, hardware, and software. Awesome Shield is in Beta. This workshop will be a chance to have some fun learning about coding, and get a sneak peak at Awesome Shield while it is still in development.

What to Bring

Please bring a computer, and install the Arduino IDE beforehand. Here is a link to download and install the Arduino IDE (https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software). This tool will let your write code for Arduino and Awesome Shield. If you have an Arduino that you can bring with you, that’s a bonus. But if not, you can use one of ours.

Why do we do this?

We're a social enterprise that believes in empowering people to understand and influence technology. We think learning to code, and build things with electronics is a great way to do this.

Language

Our tutorials and reference materials are in English. The major language of the event will be English. We’ll do our best to accommodate you if you’re more comfortable in another language.

We'd love to hear from you!

We're always looking for feedback! You can email us, or send us a message through meetup.
