Der OpenTechSummit bringt seit 2014 die Vordenker der Open-Source-Software- und -Hardware-Community zusammen. Die Veranstaltung findet 2022 wieder vor Ort an der TU Berlin statt. Zu Wort kommen Unternehmen, Akteure aus den Makerspaces, Forscher und Community-Entwickler. Am zweiten Tag gibt es neben Entwickler-Meetings auch für Anwender die Chance, mit Projekten und Unternehmen in engen Austausch zu treten. Hier werden Open-Hardware-Projekte demonstriert und Teilnehmer von jung bis alt können die Produkte dann selbst einmal “anfassen” und ausprobieren. Nachhaltige Entwicklung, Kreislaufwirtschaft (Circular Economy), Kooperationen mit Communities und die Digitale Souveränität sind zentrale Schlagworte in den Diskussionen des Summits um die Zukunft der industriellen Produktion und Energieversorgung.

The OpenTechSummit has been bringing together thought leaders from the open source software and hardware community since 2014. In 2022 we are running a special Open Hardware edition at the TU Berlin in cooperation with the EU funded OpenNext program. In the event companies, practitioners from the makerspaces, researchers and community developers will have their say in presentations and panels. On the second day, in addition to developer meetings, users also have the opportunity to intensively exchange ideas with projects and companies. There will be demonstrations of open hardware projects and participants from young to old can “touch” and try out the products themselves. Sustainable development, circular economy, cooperation with municipalities and digital sovereignty are some of the buzzwords in discussions about the future of industrial production and energy supply.
