Operation Code is a nonprofit devoted to helping the military community learn software development, enter the tech industry, and code the future!

We're looking to bring together aspiring developers of all levels and backgrounds, from learning-from-scratch to senior engineers, to help each other learn more about coding and building great things.

Operation Code DC @ Oracle

Operation Code DC is a nonprofit dedicated to helping transitioning military, military spouses, and veterans learn software development, enter the tech industry, and code the future! Join us at 6 PM on February 26th at Oracle in Reston Virginia for camaraderie, code and food. This event is open to all, regardless of experience or background. While it is the mission of Operation Code to empower the military community, we welcome attendees of every sort. In February, our thematic focus is Cloud Services. This month our esteemed speakers include the following: CDR (ret.) Jack Downes is currently the COO of Elevate Government Solutions, a full-service IT provider focused on agile software development and digital transformation of government. A Maryland native, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1994 with a BS in Ocean Engineering and received a MS in National Security Strategy from the National War College in 2014. CDR Downes retired from the Navy in 2016 after 22 years of active, reserve, and active reserve service culminating with Command of Navy Operational Support Center Baltimore. He and his partners founded Elevate Government Solutions in 2017. Himaja a Solution Engineer will explain what IaaS, Paas and SaaS means and how it can help your organization and change the way companies for devops.
