Opne Auge (Open Eyes) is a film club located in Bryne, Jæren.
We organize small, informal film screenings where we aim to show eye-opening cinema and explore interesting locations around Jæren.
We are a part of the Norwegian Federation of Film Societies (Norsk Filmklubbforbund)

Opne Auge Queer Film Club #2: Stranger by the Lake
Fri Rogaland, Harald Hårfagres gata 9, Stavanger, NOAfter a more sapphic oriented first 🌈 queer screening, our next one brings plenty of male beauty (or should we say 🍑?).
In Alain Guiraudie's 🇨🇵 "Stranger by the Lake" (L'Inconnu du lac) we get to pretend we're in sunny, summery France - at a nude beach by a lake, to be exact. It is at this beach where young Franck falls head over heels with Michel, gay men gather, and someone is found dead in the water... As an audience, we definitely get to understand why Stranger by the Lake carries the erotic thriller drama genre so well 😱
As far as prices go, Stranger by the Lake won the award for 🏆 Best Director at Cannes, as well as the 🏆 Queer Palm award - so you're definitely in for a treat.
