Opne Auge Film Club

Opne Auge is back for 2026, and this year we're trying something new: A special queer screening event, in addition to our normal monthly screenings! 🌈

We're kicking off this new series with Dag Johan Haugerud's 🇳🇴 2024 movie "Drømmer". In Drømmer, we see a student fall in love with her French teacher - and write down what she feels. Through these writings, her (intense) experiences also influence her family as discussions arise surrounding their potential publication.

Drømmer is part of a trilogy called "Sex, Dreams and Love", but functions perfectly as a standalone. The three films all provide a different perspective on the same topic - that of human relationships, sexuality and social norms.

And it did so successfully! Drømmer was submitted as one of Norway's Oscar Submissions 🎖 and won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

⚠️ Opne Auge Queer Film's first screening will be held at a different location than what you're used to: At Fri's office in Stavanger.
