Details

Have you felt it, too? There is a careful smell of spring in the air 🌷 But, before we go there, it is time for a final homage to winter - which, as we all know too well, can still come back in all its might! (It is only March, after all)

So allow us to take you to a winter ❄️in a small Norwegian town, back in the early 1900s, with Øyvind Vennerød’s 🇳🇴 “Støv på Hjernen” (1984).

We follow Erling, a man in his 30s, trying his best to navigate life in this small, isolated community, which seems set on upholding outdated or even oppressive values.

The film cleverly combines dark humor 🎭, slapstick, and societal criticism 💥 - Vennerød’s signature for making a thoughtful yet entertaining experience.

“Støv på Hjernen” did not garner a lot of international attention, but was nominated for Best Norwegian Film at the Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund in 1984 🏆.
