Block Corruption - Can you guess it?

Oracle provides various tools and mechanisms to detect and fix
block corruptions, but have you ever verified if they really
always work as you'd hope and expect?

In this hacking session we will manually modify Oracle data and
index blocks to systematically introduce various forms of physical
and logical corruption.

The aim of this session is to figure out if and how Oracle can
detect block corruptions. Chances are high that you'll be in for a surprise.

Ludovico Caldara (Data Guard Product Management at Oracle) will be the referee to check whether what is being said is true. We are very pleased to welcome him and his enormous expert knowledge.
