Welcome to our September 2019 Meetup on "Low-Code Development with Oracle APEX and Oracle Autonomous Database", brought to you by Oracle Developers NYC and the New York Oracle User Group (NYOUG) http://nyoug.org
At this year’s ODTUG Kscope 19 conference, Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Application Express (APEX) on the Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud. How is this different from using apex.oracle.com, or running APEX on Oracle’s other Database Cloud services you ask? Join us on September 5th for our next Oracle Developers NYC Meetup and find out. Marc Sewtz and Dan McGhan will take you step by step through a hands-on lab, where you will learn how to get started with the Autonomous Database and how you can build and deploy APEX applications on the Cloud.
Marc Sewtz - Oracle Application Express Introduction
Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a low-code development platform that enables you to build scalable, secure enterprise apps, with world-class features, that can be deployed anywhere. APEX is now available on Oracle Autonomous Database Cloud. The enormous benefits of a fully-managed and autonomous database cloud service, combined with an industry-leading low code platform to quickly develop and deploy applications, offers customers unparalleled capabilities. In this session, we’ll do a brief introduction to building applications with APEX, we’ll talk about our current and upcoming releases, APEX 19.1 and APEX 19.2. And we’ll show you how you can get started with APEX on the Autonomous Database.
Marc Sewtz & Dan McGhan - Hands-On Lab: Low-Code Development with Oracle Application Express and Oracle Autonomous Database
In this hands-on lab, we'll start by initiating your free trial for Oracle Autonomous Database and then convert a spreadsheet into a multiuser, web-based, responsive Oracle Application Express application in minutes— no prior experience with Oracle Application Express is needed. Learn how you can use Oracle Application Express to solve many of your business problems that are going unsolved today.
Please bring your own laptop, if you'd like to participate in the lab. Don't worry, we won't be installing any software on your machine, all you need is a web browser.
Note: You must RSVP for this event and seats are limited. Please RSVP with your full name and bring matching ID for security. Please do not RSVP if you are unsure that you will be able to attend.
