March Hike & Lunch (LOCATION CHANGE: Walnut Canyon Reservoir) in Anaheim

Details

UPDATE: Due to the trail conditions with our recent rain (up through last night), we will skip the Oak Canyon Nature Center and just walk around the Walnut Canyon Reservoir (flat and easy). It's a 1.7-mile loop. Since it takes about 35 min. to walk around it, we will walk it twice (maybe 3 times) depending on the time, pace, and how many ladies are up to it. Then we will head over to our brunch place at Woody's Diner in Yorba Linda (between 10:30-11:00). It's going to be a beautiful, sunny day! Let's get out in that sunshine and meet up with friends!

Time and Meeting Place: We will still meet at 9:00am, but now at the opening of Periphery Rd (name of trail around the reservoir) in Anaheim (see map below). There is free parking along the neighborhood streets (along Laketop Dr.) near our starting point. Please arrive at about 8:45am as we will start hiking right at 9:00am.

Brunch: After our hike, we meet at Woody's Diner in Yorba Linda at 21450 Yorba Linda Blvd., Yorba Linda. If you have any questions about the hike, contact Candi Hubert (our park ranger member and leader) at candi.hubert@gmail.com or Cindy Freeman at freemancindy504@gmail.com or 714-504-7508.

Disclaimer Note: Hiking is a fun way to get to know other ladies in our group. By signing up for this event, you agree to hold harmless the hike organizer, assistant organizers and other participants for any injuries sustained during this event. Remember, we are not a hiking group...we are a travel group of ladies 50+ that also love to hike the outdoors.
