The Dyke March and Rally and After Party are free events.
The goal of the Dyke March is to increase lesbian visibility and support the rights of all women regardless of labels, including bisexual and transgender women. Disparities in health care, equal pay, LGBT rights, domestic violence and hiring opportunities are some of the problems that are still real for us. This is not a parade, we're exercising our civil rights to peacefully assemble.
The first year over 400 women participated, and it has grown each year since - this year the Rally, March and After Party will be held on Friday May 19th, 2017 starting at 6:30PM. Please bring your signs and banners and continue to make herstory!
The Rally begins at 6:30 PM with music that brings people together by DJ Kat Woman and the fire energy of Dragon Rising - don't miss this!
The March starts at 7:30PM led by Chant Goddess Marie Cartier along with the Womyn's Empowerment Drum Circle.
Speakers include Denise Penn, Mayor Robert Garcia, Lynn Ballen, Claudia Rodriquez and Jeannette Bronson.
