I: Backpack Overnight to Pinto Mtn (Peak elev. 3983 ft. RT ~11.8 miles with elev. Gain 2500 ft.
Come explore 🥾 with us beautiful Joshua Tree Wilderness on two days and a night backpack trip. This is a Provisional Backpacking trip.
Our backcountry trip starts at Turkey Flat TH & travel into JT Wilderness along desert flora-fauna. After a short hike, we will setup camp & enjoy a gorgeous desert sunset preparing for an early next morning start. On Sat. AM we’ll travel cross-country, traversing beautiful ridges & gullies to Pinto Mtn (Peak elev. 3983 ft. RT ~11.8 miles with elev. Gain 2500 ft.)

Signup Instructions: Complete the online registration, liability waiver, and medical form. Then email your backpacking/hiking resume to the leaders. If you have WTC training, please note when, what area and group, and the Group Leader's name. Acceptance on this trip is pending leader review.
Recommended Items: Backpacking Trip - Bring sufficient food, water, hydration for 2-day, 1-night backpacking trip.10 Essentials; first aid kit, sturdy shoes, backpack gear, and regular prescription medications. The leader will provide a list of additional items if necessary.
Signup Restrictions: A medical form is required and can be accessed as you register. You can preview the medical form as well as the waiver. If you have signs or symptoms of a communicable disease immediately prior to the start of the Outing, you should withdraw from the Outing. Participants are encouraged to be up-to-date and fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC; however, it is not required.
