The California Writers Club meets monthly for our featured speaker series focused on the craft and business of writing. Topics are presented by major authors, publishers, self-published writers, college professors, literary agents, and other professionals.

David Sandner is a member of SFWA (the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) and the HWA (the Horror Writer’s Association). He’s an English Professor at California State University, Fullerton, where he teaches creative writing, popular genre literatures (Fantasy, SF, Horror), and Romanticism (an era of revolution and poetry in early 19th-century Britain). His scholarship centers on the history of the fantastic, and his creative and scholarly work has been published in magazines, journals, anthologies, and collections.

He’s an author, editor of scholarly books, and co-author of a novella. He also builds websites on the fantastic, including one on Philip K. Dick’s last ten years in Orange County, California, another on the literary influence of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and the newest for the Zines to the Future! Project and Exhibit.
