4 Mile Old Mill Urban Walk with Casual Dinner Option Afterwards

Ready for a fun-filled urban adventure? Join us for a scenic 4-mile walk around the historic Old Mill District, offering a fantastic way to get some exercise while making new connections in our vibrant community!

Meetup Details:

• Starting Point: In front of Jackson’s Corner restaurant (Corner of NW Delaware Ave and Broadway).
• Time: Gather at 5:30 PM for a quick introduction before we start the walk.
• Parking: Street parking is available near Jackson's Corner.
• Route: We'll kick off our walk at Jackson’s Corner, heading towards the Deschutes River bridge at Columbia Park. We'll enjoy the river trail on the west side, pass by landmarks such as the Bend Whitewater Park, Hayden Homes Amphitheater, and River Bend Park. After crossing the Farewell Bend Park bridge, we'll loop back on the east river trail, strolling through the bustling Old Mill area, and returning to our starting point via the same path.
• Amenities: Multiple restroom facilities are accessible along our route.
• Post-Walk Gathering: After the walk, join us for an optional dinner or drinks back at Jackson’s Corner to relax and chat about our walking adventure!

Walking Itinerary:

• Start at Jackson's Corner
• Down NW Delaware Ave, Shasta Place, and Gilchrist Ave to reach the river trail
• Cross the bridge at Columbia Park, follow Allen Rd, to regain the river trail then pass by the Bend Whitewater Park and McKay park, then along Simpson Ave
• A short jaunt on Shevlin Hixon Road to rejoin the river trail at Hayden Homes Amphitheater
• Follow the west side River Trail to Farewell Bend Park bridge, then loop back on the east side through Old Mill area
• Return via Gilchrist Ave, Shasta Place, and Delaware Ave to Jackson's Corner
