What we’re about
Orewa Writers and Poets meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month upstairs in the meeting room at Orewa Library, Moana Avenue, Orewa. This group is for local writing and poetry enthusiasts to write together, share work and get feedback if wanted. There will be a short refreshment break halfway through.
A prompt for up to 400 words of poetry or prose (fiction or non-fiction), for reading and sharing at the meeting, will be set at least two weeks in advance and advertised on this Meet Up page. If feedback is wanted it may help to being along printed copies of your work to share.
A 5-minute impromptu prompt is announced at the meeting for writing there and then, and then reading and sharing of work.
Members of the group take turns to set the prompts.
Writers are also invited to bring along one page of work to read and share, and/ or to seek peer feedback. Again, if feedback wanted, it may help to being along printed copies of your work to share.
